FOLF

I showed up at the infusion center bright and early. I have a feeling I no longer look bright and cheery when I go in. I would like to think I am not quite in the black and white zone yet though. This was a reference from my post about my first round of chemo.  Honestly, I am still so physically exhausted from last week. I am used to the go-go-go, but my body is saying no-no-no. It's alright though, at some point I will get back to the go-go-go version of myself...I hope.

My nurse today is the least favorite of mine. I won't go into the reasons why, it is what it is. She got my port accessed and my blood drawn. Thankfully, the shot of Zarxio that I received Friday worked. I go the go ahead to proceed with chemo. As it turns out, the oncologist completely dropped the Oxaliplatin. I am thankful for this! My neuropathy has progressed instead of getting better since my last round, which included an extra week. I was warned that I could have what they call "coasting." This is where the neuropathy symptoms get worse before they get better. Yay me! Whatever though... My symptoms have been numbness, tingling, and pain in my legs and feet. Numbness and tingling in my hands an fingers as well as tingling up my arms. I also have the tingly feeling in my mouth. It seems like there was a switch flipped after that last round, even though the Oxaliplatin was 75% instead of 100%. The feelings that I had been having, which mostly resolved before the next cycle started, really ramped up! Crazy how fast it happened.

Now, I am having FOLFOX without the OX. Let's call it FOLF. I think I kind of like that name better. FOFL.

Round 9 mostly down...still have the pump until Wednesday, THREE to go!!!!

Now I am going to spend the rest of my day with Netflix as I try to rest up for the upcoming week. Thankfully, it will be a lot less busy than last week, but I don't have my all around amazing helper with me this week. I am sure she is loving the week away from helping me.
